About Wand, a little question here. What do you guys think its better (remember that Wanda can modify the probabilities)?

1- She can choose which spell she would cast (like Hawkeye does)
2- Random mode (which I like most). She will make a pose and choose a random spell to cast, with more spells than the previous option
3- A mix of both. The play can choose if they wants to use a Spell System (limited to, say, 4 spells) or Random System (where she can use a random spell from, say, 10 options)

I prefer 1. I never liked randomizeds effect/spells

I could do this to War Machine too, he could use a Machine Gun mode or a Heavy Weapon mode.

How about there's only a 20% chance the spell has a different effect?

BTW, when you say she casts random spell, do you mean a different special attack (like shoot projectile or summon helper), or do you mean the hit effect will be random (the projectile either burns, eletrocutes or freezes)?
 
I think I will stick to this:

- in one of her freespecial, she will execute the selected spell from the menu, like hawkeye does.
- on the other, the Hex Bolts, will be projectiles with random attributes (burn, freeze, shock, etc). She will call some arcane simbol at the ground and, once it touch any enemy, a random effect will be triggered.

But here comes a bad news:  I think I won't be able to release this beta on this year. I got too much much freelance work to do at RL and I need to finish it (afterall, my kids are waiting the Santa Clauss here, lol).

Anyway, I will try to release when I go for my vacations (dec 20), lets have hope :)
 
You can't rush these things. You should take care of real life first, then come back. By then, you'll have more inspiration for Avengers United Battle Force.
 
okay, I managed to find some time to record a new video, showing some stuff from:

-Vision: Almost done, with his density control system
-Hawkeye: Arrow system
-Beast: some new grabs and aerial super
-Hulk: No invencible armor anymore (still super armor), new special
-War Machine: fly mode, Gatling gun.
-Iron Man: Fly mode

All the characters have random combo finishes (Vision uses a short blast, War Machine uses gatling gun etc), to avoid the game turn into a repetitive thing.

(I love how OpenBOR handles the water. And those hooks will have a major role on this stage later)

I am aware of that the bios got covered by the char name. I will modify the image, since it seams that you can't put anything over the char name (this is a suggestion to the OpenBOR coders)

I LOVE how Vision phases into the ground after being knocked down. Hands down, my favorite thing in the video.
Hulk smashing the ground 3 times made me LOL, but in a good way. Overkill is totally what I'd expect from an angry Hulk.
Warmachine seems more bad ass than Ironman, can't tell why...
I can see Hawkeye will be incredibly fun to play, selecting arrows and just messing around with enemies. Can you also change the arrow in that air combo special with the freeze arrow ("I got this", at 3:25)? Frozen enemies look weird in air, but I'm fine with it. BTW, there are a couple of voices that don't match the arrow (ex., he says Exploding Arrow in that air combo).
Speaking of voices, I found Hawkeye speaks a lot (almost annoying, but I get you were just showing us all his arrows) while Beast is surprisingly lacking. I know, finding matching SFX for him will be hard but still...
I suppose it's still just a test stage, but defeating those bosses by throwing them out of the train was cheap :P

Is what I always wanted to do on him. I watched many Avengers cartoons those days, and I saw that Vision was a bitch to be beaten. I plan to give him a random density mode, where there will be a small change, at the beginning of the every basic anim, of him turn intangible

War machine, per se, is more bad ass than iron man. While Tony is more funny sometimes, Rhodey is more focussed. Plus, War Machine have a more aggressive stance (a little hunched) then Iron Man.

The "I got this" is what he says when he starts the move (he says 2 random phrases, like almost everyone, when attacking). The "Explosing Arrow" is right (the move is intended to finish with a explosive arrow. I changed it for testing and forgot to revert it back)

Beast have some vocies too, but they need to be higher. Plus, they come from a game (X-men apocalipse) where he doesn't uses aggressive lines too much.

Yeah, Whirlwind won't even be on that stage. For testing, I even have a forklift over the train (don't ask me how it got there, lol)

Have you tried setting setlayer with high value to bios entity?

I can see that there are more quake attacks in this video :) but I noticed something odd: they only hit to left and right. I believe it would be cooler if quake attacks hit front and back too.

  About Fly mode, if you want it to be not cheap, you can add enemies which can attacks flying players. You have regulars enemies with guns so it shouldn't be hard for them to shoot upwards ;)

Alternatively, you can add flying enemies which can attack flying playes.

Yes, take a look:

Still no good. I use higher numbers so the GUI is placed over the lifebars:

But there is no option to be in front of everything. In mugen, we have a option called "ontop" which puts the entity in front of anything else.

They do attack in all 4 directions.

Being a little nitpicky... Hawkeye talks too much, that's a thing that I don't like of new games (the new Mario bros for example). Also I prefer sprited artwork for the intro, title screen, it make it look more like an old official game, but of course I understand that doing that would be a titanic work. The helper of beast looks too much megamanish  ;)

Listening the phrases against whirlwind game the creeps!! So many good memories playing the arcade game!!!

The Sam enemies looks like from Street Smart.

My fave character by far is Vision... He just have such amount of detail!!!

Is he annoying? Maybe I can make the sounds to be more random (so sometimes he won't say nothing). Vision, on the opposite, barelly speaks because he doesn't likes to speak, he is a synthezoid :)
