I can’t critique this game because I’ll wait for the complete release, but I generally support the hard difficulty and difficulty settings, I “1CCed” certain (fighting) games so I’m ready for anything, go on.

I love that ground pounding Hulk! I think it's an excellent grab move!

If there's a way of creating some kind of graphical ripple effect  around that area it would add a nice touch to the concept of visible sound waves.

I agree the clap doesn't need to be a ranged attack, but rather a mid-range spherical/area attack.  And a ripple effect would be very cool indeed! (fish eye lens? Is that what it's called?)

How about a slow motion (and slow sound!) effect too?

About the multiple lives thing, I just played through with Black Cat and never had more than 12 lives (and mostly no more than 9). This shows how f*cking awful I am with her, but also shows that people only rack up 25 lives if they don't die much, and when I'm Iron Man, I don't die much unless I fall down a pit, lol.
I think some characters are waaaaay better at getting extra lives because of how the Bonus Stages work. Those with area attacks or shorter high damage combos usually destroy everything much quicker than the others.

But yeah, it should be looked at.
 
Ground pound could begin with the first part of the animation with Hulk roaring and then he squats and starts punching the crap out of the enemy on the ground.

BRUTALITY.

I got a new playthrough up today. I wasn't feeling well so I chose an easier character with lots of damage. I don't usually play as Thor so the gameplay might not be too stellar but I hope you like it anyway ^_^:

I also uploaded a playthrough of Streets of Rage 2 with Skate for a change of pace if anyone wants to check that out ^_^.
 
I've edited a new enemy to the game - say hello to "Threat" :)

Here is her color separated sprite, into 13 different areas:

If someone wants to make some palettes, go ahead. She will be using only 4, but I can pick the best ones.
Just try to be creative - for example, she can have her skin "naked" in one palette, but covered in another one. Same for her tights, gloves, etc.

 
I nearly made an 'all naked' palette where everything was skin that could've been a joke enemy hidden in a breakable or something but I figured that was too dumb, lol.

Something fun I thought of. How about everyone post their current scoreboards? :)

You play Captain America a lot. Interesting 'cause I remember you saying you didn't like him in the Marvel universe.
 
Hehehe in fact, that is cheating.
Captain was the debug character, and had a move where he killed everyone on the screen with just one attack :)

but Red Hulk score is real.

New character playable in AUBF: Hercules.
Will be the wrestler of the game, with many grabs, follow ups and combos. And causing a lot of damage (Thor level).

Looks great. I particularly like the 3rd and 4th colours :)

I'm hoping for his running attack to be a Dropkick (although Cap already has that) and a diving elbow drop from the air :D

I forgot we were getting Greek levels in the next build. Have we seen any previews of those yet aside from that underwater screencap? I can't remember.
 
Drop kick would be awesome I think he should have a frog splash instead of a elbow drop also I would suggest giving him more of an mma style then just a pure grappler as he is the creater of pancration witch is just ancient mma a think a mixture of strikes and grabs would work best. O can't wait for the next realse u are an inspiration for someone  like me starting out making a game thx keep up the amazing work

He will have strikes for sure (mostly punches,  also drop kicks, headbutt, shoulder charge, etc) but he will have a lot of grabs - I've made a sketch with all the moves (I do this for all characters, on my sketchbook).

It's the char with more grapple moves on the game. From the normal grab position, he can access 4 throw moves  (and each one can have a follow-up), 2 grab attacks plus one special throw.  11 moves in total.

He will have ence more throws, but I won't spoil the surprise :)

Greece will be a whole chapter (4 or 5 stages), not just a stage.
 
I've spent hours fixing Vision sprites, so now he can use his Movie palette (it replaces the full white palette).
Also, now his Solar Beam has a better color (it keeps changing from red to yellow).

Vision will receive some touches, like a new throw and maybe wil be able to grab and throw objects too.
By the way, there is a new enemy - Lurker - with a cool palette done by Psykai, thanks buddy.
 
I love that stage design! The way the sun makes the water look blood red gives a really cool effect. It's weird seeing a new environment after seeing the same stages for so long XD

New Vision palette is great. I love the cape :D

I'd like to see more of what the Lurker enemy looks like.
 
Now Thor's ragnarok mode has two different freespecials

While Thor's freespecial 1 has a startup time and freespecial 2 is quick, Ragnarok works in inverted way - Freespecial 1 is fast, but Freespecial has a start time.
