Custom style health bar?

I'll explain what I want to do.

In my project, I want bosses and enemies to have custom health bars, since the fact that bosses and enemies are displayed using only a single solid color takes away some of their personality

I just want to change the color or design of the health bar, not the border. Here’s an example image of what I have in mind:



The first image is from a Terraria mod, while the other is an image I found on Google

Is it possible to do something like this, either by using an image to give it “that gradient design” or through a script?
If it has to be done with a script, how should I implement it?

I also want to be able to assign a specific font to a particular enemy

I figured as much. Do you know where I can find a script like this? I don't know anything about programming, but if you could help me, I'd really appreciate it.

You'd need to watch other OpenBoR games and see if any of them has lifebar similar or close to what you've wanted to make.
If you've found one, you could paxplode the game and see how the lifebar is done.

I took a look at SOR2X, and it has exactly what I'm looking for. I had previously thought about doing something similar to what you suggested, but I couldn't find what I was looking for.
