Complete Dungeons & Dragons: NEW RELEASE! 0.1.0

patch is screwed.... look for 2 files calling .bor instead .ogg music - LairE.txt and sideQuest\ArenaS.txt

and another one in the game scenes\end2.txt

I see the problem.  You can easily correct this - in those 2 files just remove .bor and type .ogg instead and it will work.

We earlier converted all .bor files into .ogg and had to go through all the levels and change it, so we must have forgot to alter those for the patch.

Let me know if you have any trouble getting it to work.

no problem I fixed it for myself
I just let you know to fix the game if anyone else is downloading to get a fixed files
It's very good game. Btw, I passed under my file cleaner
http://www.chronocrash.com/forum/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item282
and I cleaned some unused audio files and in 7z archive it shrank to 180Mb not 280Mb when I downloaded. If you like use my tool to remove unused audio files and reduce size of file. Just copy clean_music_fast.bat in data folder and run it. It usually take a while for other games but on that game it took very very long time due complex of the game
Thanks for the awesome game keep the spirit up

Bloodbane, I'm not sure how, but I've never seen this mod up until now! Holy smokes it looks and sounds amazing, like the closest thing we'll have to a "AAA" OpenBOR title. And I am horribly depressed that I can't find a download link anywhere. Could you be a pal and throw one my way, if only for old time's sake?

I'm almost embarrassed that you're among the first to try my work, but I somehow neglected to try your magnum opus here.

Dont mix D&D with final fantasy please >_>

To be completely fair, early Final Fantasy titles were heavily inspired by D&D. So the comparisons between the two are apt, at least up until the sixth entry into the FF series.

Dragon quest was heavily inspired from D&D too and is closer to D&D then FF is, FF was only closer to D&D till the third game, FF 4 and beyond started mixing tech with medieval stuff.

Gunner and samurai/ninja classes should NOT exist in a D&D game unless its an spelljamer game(for guns) or staged on kara-tur(ninja/samurai)

The setting here is obviously inspired by the old school greyhawk and those classes doenst fit there at all....they chose mystara for the setting in the arcade games and it was made by an japanese company and you dont see those classes  there...since mystara is an setting close to greyhawk/dragonlance(medieval european)

Here you are guys:

1. Included the last patch released

2. My few fixed files LairE.txt, sideQuest\ArenaS.txt and scenes\end2.txt. This is the bug I have reported earlier, calling .bor instead .ogg affect as no background music on the level

3. cleaned from unused audio and music files stuffed inside, with my tool that I developed a long time ago. Now file is 180Mb

How to download: on the game part files right click-> Save Link As (or whatever is in your browser) and download all .js files of the game, rename it to .rar, then un-rar, then unzip and put the .pak file into Paks folder in your openbor.
For easy rename multiple files I use TotalCommander - select all files, press CTRL+M and type rar in Extension  ;)
For easy download multiple files use FlashGet or something, just select all links on the page and drag it over download box ;)

Hi folks, I'm stuck playing this great mod ! I rescued Merci and protected the Caravan, so now when i read this GREAT guide : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SLU0NNEd8UcnhHaMOQUyORqoI-uOXwFhd8EVJyvpT3U/edit i should find Peralay in Chendl to trigger a new quest. I can't find him, where is he ?
Thanks ! (what a great game btw)

yes, that's what another NPC told me but he's not :( anyaway, I'll be away for 3 weeks so i'll start over when i come back. Thanks BB !

Patches and updates? Cool!

I've got to play this one. Had a blast with Knights and Dragons Endless quest - Pierwolf's best mod so far - and it's always pleasant to see a Dungeons and Dragons themed mod around~

There's a secret "cheat" we built into the game, for anyone who wants to have a lot of the weapons and items unlocked at the start.  It might make the game too easy, so the decision to use it is up to you.
SPOILERS BELOW.......

When you first start the game in the King's throne room, before you leave the room you can activate a secret treasure room.  There are four invisible plates on the floor, and if you step on them in the correct order, a lever will appear on the far right wall.  Pull the lever to open the secret treasure room.
Here's a picture showing you where the invisible plates are:

Enjoy!  If you leave the throne room and come back, the cheat won't work.  It's only available at the very start the first time you're in the throne room.

That's awesome man, and thanks for showing us that. I had no idea. I'll test it out to see how much it effects the fun and flow of the game compared to a normal playthrough. I like a challenge, but it's fun to just be able to go off sometimes too and destroy with ease, so this was a thoughtful and cool idea to add to the game. Thanks again.
