The project is currently under development.
It's not working winlator either .exe won't load. If you or anyone else could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

The .pak file you gave us in the last demo was a much better solution for us android users with handheld devices/cellphones. Any reason why you can't recreate it for this version?

Because this version and all future ones will be .pak locked. This game is being made with only the PC version in mind. Other workarounds depend on people, and I have seen people using Winlator for playing the game on android phones, at least. Copying just the .pak file won't work, you need all files just as the game folder comes, extracting it and use the provided .exe file.

Ok, my favorite character to play is Guy, hands down, but I wanna get better with Chun-li + Charlie

Also, does anyone have any tips on extra software to help the feel when using a controller? I've tried adjusting my dead zones on the thumb sticks but I'm having a really hard time getting special inputs to come out consistently, and I also seem to have a really hard time using >> to dash, but only to the right? I'm using a dual sense ps5 controller and I've even adjusted my dead zones in ds4windows but I can't seem to get the inputs to buffer correctly?

i use to have same problem with ps4 controller
i buy 8bitdo m30 pad work perfect with openbore geme. never miss a combo
really cip. buy it on amazon

i can't get this to work on winlator. 😭
Try redownloading and test the Android .apk attached to it with the game.ffp file inside Paks folder.

your favorite character?
for me astro

Same, haha, Astro and Carlos are my faves.

You can also try ditching the controller mapping in game and map keys directly into your pad with Joy2key tool for Windows.

Switch NRO and Android APKs with .ffp format support.
The Android apk included in demo v37 is the same one to `OpenBOR2018-release-universal.apk`.

why windows defender say there is troian in the .exe file? window defender remove the .exe file from the folder.

Windows Defender can flag an .exe that contains another executable. That’s how mole boxing works. It takes an .exe - the OpenBOR engine in this case - and external data - the Final Fight module - and packs them into a single .exe. The engine and game data are still separate components inside that package.

Malware often uses similar packing techniques, so Defender sometimes flags legitimate files too. This is a false positive. Assuming you trust @Mr.Q!, and you should, you can restore the .exe and add an exception for that specific file so Defender does not remove it again.

This ☝️
Sometimes antiviruses act like this, but trust me there is no harm in the given files. You should make an exception for the files inside with the antivirus software, that's all. Now, how to do that? It depends on what you are using, Youtube is your friend in that case 👍

ive been hype about all kinds of stuff on this site for a while now, have been content to just let the games flesh themselves out, but i feel the need to toss some input out there as an old jaded gamer.

one of the best things about modern gaming, specifically sor4, absolum, battletoads, they do a great job of input nuance. 8 and 16 bit consoles had so much input lag and very little forgiveness that the games were just flat out harder (broken). The issue that im having with fight forever in particular is thus - you should make the directional fighting more adaptive. Im so used to beating up whats in front of me (say im facing right, moving and fighting right) and being able to throw a couple of jabs or a special behind me (enemies coming from the left of the screen). What happens in this game, is you cant do that almost at all. youre just locked left or right stance.

Im not going to reread this because it kinda hurt my brain and i just smoked a fatty so i apologize if this makes absolutely no fucking sense whatsofuckingever. If thats the case, tell me and ill make a video showing what i mean

100% agree. I honestly find this game even on Stage 1 brutally difficult because it's SO EASY to get surrounded and pounded by the enemies. The combo system is a neat idea but it actually works as a detriment most of the time and prevents me from actually enjoying it or feeling in full control, which is a shame because the game is incredible high quality and has huge potential. As it is right now though I have more fun in Training/Practice mode just playing around with the combo system than I do actually trying to put it into practice in the main game.

You guys need to get better at crowd control, that's all. I have seen plenty of runs in YT people doing whatever they want in the game, from cheap tactics to fully showcase almost every single combo a character has, so there you go.

Obviously, not all games are for everyone. As for me, I hate new gen beat'em ups, specially Battletoads, Shredder's revenge, among others. I like the way Fight Forever is turning out due to my background of Fighting Games tournament player (in fact, this game is aimed to be played on an Arcade stick more than just a controller).

Practice!
