This is a character product from the Japanese animation called Might Gaine. This is a story about robots that transform like Transformers.

Might Gaine, you say? At first the action figures above reminded me of Gaogaigar (incredible opening).
I thought about Gaogaigar because the split train on the shoulders of one mecha seemed familiar.
I just checked, Might Gaine (1993) is anterior to Gaogaigar (1997) and surprisingly they are from the same franchise: The Brave Series.
For the record I've watched Gaogaigar and it was an upward spiral to badassery. It starts slow but my God when it picks up the pace, it becomes nuts.

Collecting mecha figures is a fun change of pace from game dev work. I actually use those same hobby funds to track down most valuable hockey cards, which keeps my collecting balanced. The rarity and history in that market is just as engaging as tracking down limited edition robot toys.
