Hey all, one of my classes is Leadership In Communication, by Dr. Kody Frey. In a meeting, I brought up this forum as an example of actionable leadership. It got me curious about some of your thoughts on leadership theories and frameworks.

I'm personally interested in Charismatic Leadership Theory. That's what I wrote my literature review about, but I'd love to get some of your observations and opinions. For instance, would you consider this forum an example of leadership in action?

If nothing else, you'll be helping me out with class!

Thanks!

Definitely yes. According to some experience I had leading a team of I.T. professionals, I can safely say that this forum has a very balanced leadership.
I mean, we feel free to act/interact here but knowing clearly where the limits are, and what happens if they are exceeded. This kind of leadership brings an atmosphere of peace and respect.

One of my old I.T. teachers always said that leadership can't be imposed, but conquered, and this is one of the main reasons why I'm here. Personally I don't like leadership that is acting all the time, trying to control every aspect of the group's behaviour. Instead, I think it's good to have a leadership that keeps everything in order just by being present, and just a simple look or a few words are enough to bring order again during a conflict.

A few thoughts of mine on leadership, for me leadership only works for small groups, towns and cities being the largest of that group, I don't think leadership works for entire countries, the bigger the group of people lead the more corrupt the power becomes.
