Hello everyone! :D
As is everyone's knowledge, Scorpion & Sub-Zero were left out of the release of the latest demo, for reasons of force majeure. :confused:
I didn't want to rush their release and take the time to create a great playable version of each of those characters.
All the characters deserve the best of me, but these 2 are special, without a doubt.. 💪

But in addition to the two top MK representatives who will be joining the game soon, we have 24 free slots for new characters. :cool:
So the question is... :unsure:

Many great MK characters ! Basically, I'm glad Scorpion and Sub-Zero are already in the list (of course !)
I already talked about it before, but I would love to see Kim-Wu in the game. That was my vote.
But actually any new character would be OK !
Jax and Sonya would be great too... Same for Johnny Cage, And I suppose Shang-Tsung can have very interesting mechanics...

Maybe it's just me, but it looks like Scorpion is dropping bars on the mic while Sub kicks a beat.

I got the hellfire motherf***er and my spear don't play, better not "get over here" or you'll get yo' a** slayed! My man in the blue droppin' frosty flows like it's snow, rhymes so cold that's why he's Sub-Zero!

Scorpion and Subzero are my priority for now, my friend. 😊
I am currently working on Scorpion full-time and when I am done, I will continue with Subzero.
But without a doubt, the idea is that all the most iconic characters in the MK universe are available. ;)

Sounds nice to me, but the more villainous a character is the more of a narrative justification they need for playability. So characters like Sindel and Jade, related to Kitana, would be easy enough, as would the Special Forces trio and Scorp+Sub. Others like Kano, Goro, etc. would be much harder to justify. For characters from later games, custom sprites would be in order, though some like Sareena did get official sprites anyway (She's an underrated pick for the roster for sure), but probably not everyone from MK would make it. If Ryu is too busy as the training dummy, maybe Cammy would make more sense in the roster, given Shadaloo's involvement in the storyline.
 
For a guest character, the Undertaker would be interesting to see in action. If not, Chris Redfield (Resident Evil) could be good in his BSAA or STARS design. It may be possible for Chris to perform some Fatality moves with bazookas, calling for backup (Sheva, Claire, Leon, or Jill) to aim fire at the enemy with a sniper or something heavy.
 
Once you have the MK core, I vote for some SF The Movie characters. They were the first digitized sprites with full 8bit color, and it would be nice to see them in action again.

Sounds like a plan. Here’s hoping for Cammy in particular, she’d fit the story well. I’d also point out someone did custom digitized Mai Shiranui sprites for MUGEN, but they aren’t very good.

I have news for you @machok my friend... :D
I just ripped the Judge Dredd Arcade sprites and they fit perfectly with the size of the characters in my game, without me having to resize them. (y)
So I am in a position to confirm that Judge Dredd will be a playable character. :cool:
He will also be part of a new special mode for three players, called DARK JUSTICE, where he will share the adventure with Batman and Robocop. ;)

I Wish Ryu, Ken, And/Or Chun Li Were Guest Character(s).

Also I Think A Mortal Kombat Version Of Super Mario Would Make A Mind Blowing Guest Character!
 
I want to clarify that when I leave open the possibility of new guest characters, I don't want them to be seen as a forced inclusion. 😒
So cartoon characters like Mario Bros, etc, will never be within the possibilities. 👎
There are people who like that type of MIX of characters, of which there are many example games in MUGEN.
But I want to make it clear that the main idea is to add characters that can fit with the style of the game, that's why Judge Dredd is a great alternative. 😊
I fully respect different points of view, but I hope you can understand my vision. 😉

Definitely!
I have to admit in the very early days of the project updates with characters, I felt strange to see KI characters in a MK graphics one.
But they almost perfectly mix together. And I was surprised how Balrog/Boxer got into the game even from his 3D model. (And it looks VERY good)

As I'm thinking of other guests beside of my main wish (Kim-Wu), I would not mind seeing Chun-Li from SF The Movie in your game.
Again, I'm already inspired for the movelist she could have... :D

And +1 for KI2 Glacius!!!
