palettes in gimp

I use gimp for  sprites and levels and I am wondering how to use a gimp palette /Winkawaks to add for openbor to recognize?

When you say recognise what do you mean exactly? When asking questions try to explain in more precise detail, give image/video/text code examples of what's wrong or what you're trying to do, without it everything is vague. For example I could of just replied to your question that openbor recognises palettes. I'm guessing maybe that all your colours are messed up looking during gameplay?

Garbled color means there's palette mismatch in your sprites. Either sprites don't use same palette or they use reference palette which doesn't match other sprites' palette

So check your sprites, are they using same palette?

Dont know if this is your issue but i noticed in gimp when you apply a palette to a image if there are any unused colours it will trim then off.

To resolve this just check how many colours in your palette and make sure your reference image has the same amount of colours.

since I am using gimp for the sprites and levels when I open openbor they completly disappear, do I need to switch  from a photoshop palette to a gimp palette and if so how?
