This category area is for posting about and announcing your OpenBOR module projects. It is not for random questions or other minutiae. Please take those to OpenBOR General Discussion or Help and Advice categories.
When posting about your projects, observe the following guidelines:

Additionally, projects with several closely related alternates should all be made available on the same upload page. As an example, see Rhythm of Destruction II. The Resource Manager also allows uploading iteration updates as you make progress and will even auto post the release notes for you. Again, ask a staff member for help if you are unsure how to do this.
Any inappropriate duplication is subject to merge or scrubbing without notice.
Do not use the Resource Manager Download button as a funnel to your personal pages, menus, or advertisements. This practice is misleading and frustrating for users. It also reflects poorly on the ChronoCrash site. The Download button must start a file download, or in the case of a commercial project link directly to the item for purchase. The Resource Manager includes an option to add prominent alternate buttons that lead to your advertising portals or personal sites of choice.
Any third party download links or misleading redirects are subject to uploading to the Resource Manager by staff and scrubbing without notice.
Any attempt to circumvent this policy (ex. edit scrubbing) will be reverted on sight and may incur forum infractions.
When posting about your projects, observe the following guidelines:
Status
Posting a new thread or changing the title of an existing thread requires that you select a status prefix. The status system is for organization, not hierarchy or punishment. You may change the status of your project at any time:
- Canceled: The project is unfinished and all work halted or abandoned. If you are no longer interested in a project or lack the resources to complete it, please be courteous to others and set the Canceled status so they will not expect further updates. You may always resume the project later. Incomplete projects unattended for a year or more are considered abandoned and automatically switched to Canceled status.
- Concept: Use the Concept status to announce an idea or a plan when you have not completed any significant work yet.
- In Progress: The project is in active development.
- Complete: The project is finished and released. Completed projects may still receive updates or new iterations.
- Exhibition: The project is built specifically to demonstrate a technique or idea. An example might include a tint use demonstrator.
Duplicate Threads and Files
Please do not post multiple threads or uploads for the same project. Common examples are posting a progress thread, and a separate release thread on completion. This is a source of confusion and not permitted.Additionally, projects with several closely related alternates should all be made available on the same upload page. As an example, see Rhythm of Destruction II. The Resource Manager also allows uploading iteration updates as you make progress and will even auto post the release notes for you. Third Party Links and Uploads
Third party upload services are notorious for unreliability and malware. Many promising projects have been lost to history due to reliance on these services. Please upload non-commercial project files directly to the ChronoCrash Resource Manager. For commercial projects, use the Resource Manager purchase option. This allows us to keep a community catalog of OpenBOR projects, and enables staff to maintain backups in case a project is lost.Do not use the Resource Manager Download button as a funnel to your personal pages, menus, or advertisements. Administration
ChronoCrash reserves the right to add, modify, or remove resource entries at any time.Removing Projects
Only staff have the ability to delete a resource, and we will handle delete requests on a case by case basis. In general, we highly discourage taking down resource entries as this would create an appearance of instability to users. It also runs counter to the mission of our site. It is not fair to use ChronoCrash as a springboard for your brand building if you are going to make selective decisions that affect the health of this site. Therefore If you insist on a project removal, ChronoCrash reserves the right to remove all of your other projects, advertisements, and announcements as well.Any attempt to circumvent this policy (ex. edit scrubbing) will be reverted on sight and may incur forum infractions.
