Resource: The Blood Bucket

Hey everyone. Figured it'd be a good idea to set up a solid and easy to use repository of pre-coded copy/paste blood flash. Anyone and everyone can use it, and/or contribute their own. Actually... Yeah, please don't forget to contribute. Otherwise it'll just be a collection of one post.
Just don't forget to mention what style it's best suited to. Sprites come in all shapes and sizes.
I'll post an example of what i mean at the bottom.

Thanks, we need more posts like this!
If we get enough material, I will suggest DC to make Resources as a child board, so its easier to track.
That would be great, the problem is contributors, if there would be people that are willing to place their pre-made resources for people to see that's fine by me. There must be also need to make an attribution license or something as well, so that people need to attribute who made the resource.

Secondly, the people/mods that are going to use this. I want to tell it simply, 2-3% good, 55-60% bad, rest of the percentages are worse. Just saying, no offense to some mod makers.

People just need to use the common sense and credit who had helped them. No big deal.

But that goes for everything, and we should not hold ourselves because this.

I do a lot of tutorials/contents for Mugen, OpenBOR, Flash, Music, Graphics and whatever and my goal is to help people because, for me, Knowledge that is not shared is dead. But what people will do with it its their problem (sure, I do prefer good things, lol)

That's fine too. I attribute to people especially when I do work that involves 3rd party stuff (from art to other things), a little subtlety don't hurt anyone, i guess.

Yeah, I was about not to say that, but that again, you're right about the 'holding ourselves' thing. I like to give knowledge to others too. Heck when I was at that other community, I dug up old Half-Life SDKs and bunched them up on their wiki in order for those info to be alive still.

EDIT: Sorry I have to rant about things, it just occurs to me that when we talk about knowledge for others. Anyways, the idea is great, as long as we got a lot of people making stuff though.

Yeah, it's probably best not to over-complicate things. This is here solely as a free resource for whoever wants to use it. Blood just feels so good in action games.
If anyone feels like they NEED to be acknowledged for something so simple, maybe they shouldn't post.

I will totally agree on one thing in particular. Different degrees of skill will yield different levels of quality. It's unavoidable, but there's nothing wrong with a fixer upper. Just don't shame the guy or girl that made them. If you've got a critique, make it count and be constructive.
Please no, "Yo, this sh** is wack!" replies. that doesn't help anyone.
Today's NOOB is tomorrow's master. The only thing that should happen between both points is encouragement.

First of all, let me just say if I said something wrong, I apologize for that in the first place, as you have already observed I'm very tactless when it comes to opinion. I think the main reason why I said that in the first place is because of the source of where thy got the sprites, not that I'm worried anyway since they ripped them off from other games.

And for one thing you're absolutely right, this is just one part of the whole anyway. But i recommend to say that these are open assets, not merely resources, mainly because it sounds well and got a nice ring to it.

When they agree to post various stuff, they should certify that they give it wholeheartedly to the community and they become assets that anyone can use.

Well, Hakuna Matata brother.  ;D
I'll see if I cant rip some more blood spatter from other games as well.
Hopefully I'm not the only one. Lets see some contributions everyone. Pixel blood goes with everything!

Right, i'm drafting various blood splatters and stuff on paper and digitize it on photoshop, along with hitflashes, inspired by death battle, although this will be slightly pixelized.
