Hi!

I've started it this year. Features original characters and sprites, made by me (minus special effects, these are ripped from fighting games or modified).
I've used BonusJZ's Vampire Hunters as base. No background yet, just some simple lines for platform testing.
Started with normal resolution (videomode 0), after a lot of work done, i've tried switching to 6 for better and bigger sprites, but later i realized it'll not run on other systems (sorry, i'm new to this and don't have programming skills). I don't know how to proceed, if i dump all initial work or the new.
The image links shows a little bit of the new and old spites, the gif is a running animation, and the video show the previous version, with standard resolution.

woahh it looks great!! loved the sprites, the moves and animations!! it is really smooth!!

it seems that you don't need with the engine, I hope to see more news about your project  ;)
 
I love the sprites, very original style.  Combat looks great too, I look forward to trying this out one day.

I have the same resolution dilemma with my mods too, hi-res seems good choice for this thou. 

Just a heads up you don't have to use video 6 you can set any resolution you want now in video.txt.

Thanks everyone! Once i complete the full move set of at least a character (still missing pain, fall, rising etc), i'll upload a simple demo.

Die_in_Fire, in fact, i need. I've tried to figure out (but failed) how to make a animation for platform drop. I mean, when you walk over the ledge, the character have no falling/drop animation, he walks on air or fall idle. I've seen this kind of animation on Golden Axe Legends and Myth, but i was unable to unpack to try and understand it. 
 
I've never used this animation, but I saw it in manual.

~WALK animation usually won't look good when entity is falling while walking so use this animation too to make entity look better :)

Wow! I think i've missed that part, or my manual is a different version. :D

Gotta say. I really like the new sprites made. Wonder who sprited those chars in the video. Anyway, great work. :)

Thanks O Ilusionista, they're on alpha transparency, and become more visible on the simple BG, but you are right. =)

zvitor, but i'm not next generation. Maybe i'm the oldest here, i'm 36. This is not my first atempt on a BOR mod, i've started something when Beats of Rage first come out, but abandoned. I've posted some samples on my devianArt page.

Still learning at every new sprite done. At that time, i used a lot of references for animations and movement.
