Give me a few days and a demo will be ready. It will feature 3 playable characters and 3 stages but no real bosses yet. The 3 characters will be the heads of each series Ryu, Jin, and Kyo. Ryu is almost complete but is demo ready and Jin and Kyo are almost done. Kyo is almost done but Jin is more technical and alot of his moves link up to others, as does Kyo's. Jin WILL be done tomorrow for the modt part but I can't get his TIDAL WAVE throw to work in my favor and in his idle stance he emits electricity but it doesn't look like in his special move....maybe because I used png and not gif...i dont know yet but I'll get it sone how.
 
Thanx alot, the sprites aren't mine though but I do want to make this mod very exciting and intense. It started off as a Guinea Pig project but I know what I want to do with it now that Im alot better at this. It's going to be some work but it will be done. After my demo, others may get inspired to help but I know I gotta help myself 1st ;D

Just a question to gamers, would it be better to have one playable character from each series or two? Just for the demo.
 
All may be different as is because there will be alot of playable characters and alot of enemies and its just me working on the game at the moment.
This doesn't sound good to me, but its me.

@malik4ever: I think there must be wrong with the browser. I might be wrong. At first, I tried clicking the links and thought they didn't work. I tried again later and they work fine. I understand they work well to some of us and some of us can't get to the link.

I forgot. How about Terry as a main? Since he's the most iconic to SNK just like Ryu to Capcom. Kyo is just to just KOF.
 
I thought Kyo was the main in KOF :o @O Ilusionista, all characters will either be SF3 or CVS styled period...but all will be CVS sized. My only problem is I don't have run animations for the SF3 characters...oh yeah, I have some SFA characters to. They all actually look pretty good togerther. All around the same size (based on thier respective builds) Rocket Viper 2 had a great mix of characters but the sizes of the characters were never tweaked. Not a problem in my game at all see:

This is the problem Im having with Jin's electricity in his idle stance:

Its transparent on this move and I did the exact same set up with the black lightning but it just didn't do right. Any suggestions? The blue lightnig is GIF and black lightning is PNG but both use the same color table.
 
very nice progress on your mod love the screen shots !

gif or png should not make any difference maybe the image was corrupted some how like through resizing ?

I had a problem with png output my paint program used to optimize pallet on save once I unchecked that option it was fine !
 
Preciate the feed back malik4ever. The black lightning was originally a BMP file but I converted them by saving them as PNG files in Photoshop and removed background in Game Maker 8 then put back in Photoshop and applied the pallate and made it show up on Jin but it just didn't do right. I may have to get more electricity effects and try them out because I want it to be like it is on a Super Saiyan 2 or 3. It's to give him a real powerful feel. I like the idea, I just want it to look right because when I'm game testing Jin and people sit there and watch the electricity flash around his body, they say "you know he's strong" or "you can tell he's fenna whoop some a**" and that was my vision for him. Kazuya will have it to but his may be red...i don't know yet though.

I think Jins should be red and Kazuyas should be blue !

how about making a remap for Jin with orange pants and blond hair  ;)
 
Yes I set the alphas like I did his special move and Ryu's hadouken. As shown in the screen shots. And the Kings nor Jack has been made for the game.

Lightning effect is now fixed. The problem was the lightning was too big and I shrunk it with drawmethod which caused it to ignore the alpha effect. Kyo is done besides his specials and a grab move. I still have to do Jin's Tidal Wave grab and all of his Mental Alertness moves and a few specials and he'll be ready to go and so will the demo. How's that sound ;D

I'll add one too in one of my next projects after World Arena.
 
having fallen enemies stay on screen like that looks very messy with the amount of enemies you have I think you should disable that option !

cant wait for the demo !

Yes, they will all be in here and I may use some from Blood Bane's Crime Buster because he did a great job on them and my characters are going to have alot of moves so I will need enemies that just don't stand there and get beat up. I will input enemies of my own as well.

Thanx for the feed back as usual but the only reason I did this is because real people 
don't disappear after they get beat up and I want to make the game as realistic "as possible" just like you see the club scene up there...people are dancing and you are fighting enemies. everybody on screen isn't an enemy on that level. I want to make the game chaotic and exciting because I have a clash of 3 great fighting games. Some features won't be in the demo, but it's a demo, all or any game content are subject to change.
