In England during the 1990's if you were lower than the age 10 years old it was weird being around Girls, playing with Girls, doing anything with Girls was Gay, Gay = bad, it had nothing to do with sexual preference, it was slang like "wow dude that's bad" bad = good or "that bike is wicked" wicked = good, so the opposite was said, the word Gay before it became a sexual orientation actually ment happy, Gay = happy,
So we would say Gay = bad,
