Topdown question

Hello guys!!!
Is possible to make a player run and jump in 4 directions in a topdown game? 
Right and left directions  isnt a problem, but up and down is the big problem...

it seems top down is possible just jumping while top down would be a problem.

Jump is not really necessary in my mod, but how could i do run and  dash  animation  work in up and down directions? maybe a script?

Piccolo's cancel system should to the trick

Thanks msmalik681, you always help me a lot, but i need some time to study and understand how Piccolo's cancel system could solve my problem... looks like a great solution...but before i need learn more about script with your tutorials and bloodbane tutorials.

Is there some mod that use something similar to run up and down?

Depending on the layout of your level (that is, if you are using the Z for your "up and down"), all you need to do is enable Z axis jumping. See jumpmove in wiki manual.

Thanks Damon Caskey, the jump function works fine in Z axis, but is there some way to have espefics animations for each jump position (up and down)?

Do you mind some solution to make char run up and run down?

With script, you can rotate the on the fly.

Btw, you can use a simple cancel to do it.

Hum!! I use cancel to make char attack up and down, but  run doesnt work...the char run to side R or L not up and down...

How the char should run? By tapping two times into a direction?

Yes, i tried  tapping two times into a direction, in this case up or down, but the char goes to right direction.

You need to have a custom freespecial with a run animation then use the dasher script from my noobs guide to make them move in the right direction.

Thank Malik, solved the problem  with @cmd dasher , now the char can dash in 4 directions
