why is my character invisible?

I am very new to this. I was wondering if anyone could help me troubleshoot? I placed my sprites into the data/char folder and made the necessary edits in the txt file and model file...However, when I run the open BOR module, my character doesnt show up...he is completely invisible..Does this have to do with not loading the palette right? I read the manual and tried to look over the tutorials but couldnt find an answer. I am trying to do this in GIMP, since that is the program that I use.

Stab in the dark here but maybe your offsets are not set correctly.

Hyunchris : can you show some screenshots?

if the pallete is wrong the character would still show even if it looks graphically bad.
Shadow option 2 would show if the offset is correct  under the characters feet even if some how the character is invisible I think.

The shadow is showing up. So maybe its the offsets. I will do more research on how to get the offsets correct. I think that may be the issue. If not, Ill post some screenshots and maybe that will help. I really appreciate yall helping me out!
