Wow~! I'm surprised that you brought Sam Santana from a classic SNK fighting game: Street Smart as a mook. That's pretty cool!

And lol to the AOF Ryo's K.O. voices for the mooks, so dramatic.

hey, I managed to make something cool to work, but I don't know if this will be cool or not in some aspects.

See Namor position on the image 1 and his size. Then check his position and size in image 2

he grows and shrink based on his Z position, kinda like Sega's Arabic Fight, but not that hard.

What do you guys think about it?
 
that actually is really creative if you can do that with enemies too it would be a great visual for your game and make it more unique
 
Cool feature, I can remember using such a feature in winmugen 3D stage configs to have nice effect.

About this project, I think you don't need this, It's a little "radical" or something.
The effect is cool, but it's a little too much.

Also this kind of game already uses small sprites, if you scale them down, hem  :-\

So, I'll suggest not to use it.
 
yes, it's a great feature, but like ned said, it might make the sprites really small (I'm specially concerned about bullets and small projectiles), so maybe it almost "forces" you to stay in the front.

Also, are you sure all your backgrounds allow this rescaling? Will it look good on all stages?

But if you can do it, and you don't run into any serious problems, I say go for it!  ;)

Yeah, I its what I think. I don't want to OVERDO the project, and I have a tendencie to do it. I will save this effect for simulating other things, I hope to talk about it soon :)
 
Some more progress:

-Namor and Thor have a small super armor, which make they immune to the first knockdown attack, to match the Comics

- New Riseattack for Thor, has more range

-Thor now grabs and execute slams and throws. On this move, he throws the enemy on the ground and hits him with the hammer

I was thinking about using this but i guess stages would have to be similar and would look weird if elements farther from camera wouldnt match the size of resized char.It definitely leads to problem with bboxes and attack boxes staying in normal size.
 
Special command? Isn't it a jump then button follow up?
The result is very good.
I want to give some similar system to my 2nd playable character in the future.

About the command, works like this: you use GRABUP (UP+attack while grabbing) and Thor throws the enemy upward. Then you have few seconds to input D F A to make Thor jump and grab the enemy on the air.

About the stage, I think yes. Doom ripped that stage.

Why don't you use air grab instead? if you do, you have the benefit of using that air grab to grab jumping enemies not tossed by the throw
