Well, I'm putting the finishing touches and will be almost finished my daughter's character.
So if all goes well, later today I will upload the video of "the chosen one".
 
This was the character I most hoped to see the video but unfortunately ... it's just what I liked least. If you allow me to list the reasons I do not like are the following points:
- She seems to have only two voices, and one of them is very irritating (the longest scream)
- The number of frames of animation is much smaller than the other characters. Once you're doing an original character, you could have put more pictures. The kicks are one example of it, especially the kick in the air with both legs.
- She does a move where she, despite being small and thin, takes an enemy jumps in the air, turns the enemy several times and falls with the enemy. That makes no sense - is exactly why I hate high school characters like Sakura, Hinato and others - and makes the player think about things like "what the hell was that?"

These points totally spoil the experience that you built with all the other characters, and it was just my biggest fear, which unfortunately materialized.

I know that the game is based around your daughter, but it is precisely the character that ruins all that is cool in the game. I know it's a character that can not be removed (if it could, it would be my first suggestion), then I recommend you work more in the character, she needs a lot of work to reach the level of the other characters.

Note that I do not want to offend anyone, just want to give my sincere opiniãode way, because I always thought that honest feedback is much more useful than simply flatter the programmer.
 
Obviously it's a character that is not up to the design of others and is more than logical to expect. Starting with the killer instinct characters have a much frames than the Mortal Kombat characters, but it looks good well beyond the visual differences.
Create a character from zero to the heights of these two games is definitely a challenge.
Also when creating this character I did a long time I did not consider many things know today.
I think going to detail could add more frames to an animation.
But not exactly what you mean so that you can reach the level of the other characters, because it certainly will never be the same height for obvious reasons.
As for the special kick, the idea is not that exactly respect the rules of physics. The idea is that it's small in stature, but character with superhuman strength and powers.
Just that.

Pretty funny to watch!
It's nice to see finally THE new character.

The concept is good, but it can be really better, it deserves to be better! :)

I would suggest to re-take pictures from your kid.
Restart from scratch by including new moves
More frames of animation
Perhaps a better light or quality of sprites
Now she's a little older, she can certainly be better in "acting" "posing" for the moves.

Also, don't hesitate to give her more violent/deadly moves, since she's the chosen one!

I'm still sure this project will be awesome!!

Hi!
Well, after much analyzing everything and talk to my daughter, we made a decision based on several of his suggestions.
When I started creating this game with my daughter she was small and had a very different idea what seek today.
It is now a teenager and he likes the idea that the character has a darker and not so innocent appearance.

So we decided the following:

1)The Carolina from the video they already know it will be a bonus character.

2) I will not create it from zero, I'll edit the sprites one by one to give a darker appearance and look older. Stay dressed all in black and you will see only the head and hands.
I did a test image and looks perfect.

3) About movements will have a new list with special much violent and lethal.
Instead of walking, will be levitating and have the ability to fly, as does Sindel. The character will be focused more on powers and much less direct punches or kicks.

This is the proyect of the "new choosen one". I hope to achieve something that is up to the other characters.
 
I've watched the new videos from Raiden, Tusk, Liu Kang and Carolina

Unlike Kitana and Midas, I think you need to update them:
1. Raiden : He has electrocution move in which he shakes while placing both hands on enemy's body. The lack of effects on enemy's body make it look bad. you should add some effects there
2. Tusk feels kinda slow in some of his moves. try fastening his animations a bit such as his sword slash and block
3. Liu Kang's super, in which he transform into dragon which shoots fireballs to the sky to cause rains later. I don't like the rain effect, I believe it's best for him to shoot fireballs one by one then each fireball fall to ground one by one exploding on landing
Check Warmachine's super move in Avengers demo by Ilu
4. Raiden's fatality shown in video need better and bigger lightning sprite
5. Carolina's fatality looks less deadly to me. Since she's main character in your mod, her fatality should be look better and cooler compared to others
My suggestion is to spawn more fire around her when she moves toward to be finished enemy OR she grabs the enemy then burns enemy with big and fierce flame

A generic suggestion is to set temporary stealth during fatality to prevent player from being attacked while performing the move.

Suggestions aside, I say great work on these characters :D! I love the move in which Raiden knocks enemy upwards then teleports from above to finish with slam :D
In general I love the slams you showed in these videos :)

I hope to achieve something that is up to the other characters.

Even you itself can be "THE BAD DADDY" one.

For some time we have been talking with my daughter she would love her character had another kind of appearance, more dark.
She has grown, now 15 years old, had less than 9 when you take pictures. Today sees different things and always is telling me that when we finish the game, do a second part to re-take pictures and make everything better.
Been so long since I started the game, everything changed much, to the point that her character stay a little behind. Now I find myself redesigning sprites and I assure you it looks much better.
I really appreciate everyone's comments, but in the end certainly will finish doing what I really want.
I have no doubt about that.

Sorry to jump in, but I can't just read this and remain in silence. I know that doing this I will ignore that Polish old saying "Not my monkeys, not my circus". I can't speak by Chronocrash, so I will speak by myself.

This kind of comment like "its your game, do whatever you want" its the most stupid thing that EVER exists. Its an argument that nobody than loosers uses it. And I will explain why:

Whenever someone post something publically, its because the person in question DO want feedback. If not, don't make it public. Its very, very easy to understand. Or you will sound like a 5 years old kid that grabs his ball and says "my ball, my rules. if you not follow my rules, I will take my ball away and go home".

Seriously, this is a common childish behaviour that we find A LOT in many Mugen communities, where anything that isn't "OMFG NICE CHAR" is faced as bullying. And I was told to SQUASH ANY behaviour like Mugen Drama at first sight, without warning.

No, we aren't. You are. We are a community which tries to help each other, by giving honest feedback, working togheter, tyring to solve bugs, giving ideas etc...anything that we can do. We are NOT trying to make Dantedevil to make things as we want (and we can't), we are trying to help him to improve his project. If we spend our very rare free time giving feedback to something, its because we CARE about it.  There are many ways to help.

But that one is clearly NOT a way to help. That is a way to make people that lives inside bubbles, where nobody can't touch them

So, Dakangel, if this is the way you want to contribute with the community, I would like to ask you to not even bother to post here.

@dantedevil sorry for derrailing your topic, but its my duty to try to maintain a good community here.
